Skin Care Tips Acne
To help alleviate the outbreak and eruption brought about by acne among teenagers and adults alike, a set of helpful skincare tips have been put together by dermatologists, health institutions, and similar concerned groups. The common sources of tips to prevent or reduce acne breakouts are health brochures, public ads, and Internet sites focused on skin care. A list of the most basic acne skin care tips are listed below.
First of all, daily facial hygiene should be practiced. A person, whether or not he has acne, should wash his face one to two times a day. He should use lukewarm water and a mild soap. While washing his face, he can gently massage it with a circular motion. Scrubbing the face must be avoided as it causes skin irritation.
Second, persons should be careful with what they wear as it may become the cause of acne. People who frequently wear glasses and sunglasses should clean them often to prevent oil from blocking pores around the nose and eyes. In addition, those who have body acne should wear moderately loose clothes to help skin breathe properly and lessen the chance of irritation.
Third, individuals can use a line of products specially designed for acne-prone skin. There are a plethora of acne treatments such as cleansers, creams, gels, cosmetics, and moisturizers that help remove harmful elements from skin and provide the protection and moisture it needs. It should be noted though that some of these products may cause side effects to people with certain health conditions. Furthermore, the application of more than one treatment can cause additional skin problems. Therefore, individuals should consult a dermatologist before using such acne care products. |
